Surveys Coming Soon!

Hello Everyone!
We got our funding in and we're just about ready to send out backer surveys! Those will be coming through BackerKit, so keep an eye out in your email for those to come in sometime this weekend. You will have a chance to upgrade your pledge if you'd like as well as pick up some add-ons you may have missed during to campaign! We just sent out a smoke test (5% of backers will be receiving surveys right now) in order to make sure everything is set up correctly and there are no issues. The rest should be going out on Sunday or Monday.
As far as progress goes, I do have a bit of sad news: Maru has been handling a delicate family matter involving an accident with her pet. She's asked me to keep the details private, but needless to say, we should all be sending her good vibes as she heals her home. She's had to delay drawing the comic for the previous few weeks, but is getting back in the saddle this week, so we'll have more art updates soon!
Thank you all so much for your support, keep an eye out for those surveys!

Hello Everyone!
Thank you all so much, we closed out the campaign at just under $7500 with over 300 backers! I can't wait to get this book out to you, but first we've got a small amount of hurdles to jump over.
First thing's first, Kickstarter needs to collect your pledges, which will take about a week to solidify and another week to make it's way to me. If your payment gets rejected, don't panic, you'll just need to update your payment method from a DESKTOP or LAPTOP. It won't work from your phone, believe me I've been down that road.
Second, backer surveys are going to come probably sometime before Free Comic Book Day, we are using BackerKit for our surveys (don't worry, you won't see additional shipping charges), so keep an eye out in your email for when that comes. Of course, we'll let you know with an update when we get there.
Third, obviously, we need to finish the book! We've been working on it the whole campaign, so it shouldn't take Maru too long to get everything together. Again, we'll keep you updated with everything.
Thank you all so much for making this campaign happen, I'm so excited to make some magic with you!

"24 hours to Kill or be killed…
"An ancient sentient samurai sword that hungers for blood, a recovering addict with a sordid past, thrown into a world of sadistic crime lords, crooked cops and supernatural evil.
"Anyone unfortunate enough who is cut by the sword has no choice but become its vessel of carnage. Those cursed by the sword have no out, they have 24 hours to kill or be killed. A Thousand Cuts #1 introduces us to the Sword and our anti hero, Chiyo.
"This is not a hero’s journey. A Thousand Cuts is a descent—a battle of wills between a young woman trying to escape her past and a cursed, sentient sword that won’t let her! Every kill twisting the blade deeper, warping her morality, until the line between survival and slaughter will blur beyond recognition."
Hell yeah. This comic looks amazing, the preview pages are wildly creative and pure adrenaline. I don't even know if there's anything else to say, this comic is so primally cool you really just need to see it for yourself! Check it out here!

Hello Everyone!
We've got just a few days left in the campaign and we're frustratingly close to hitting our funding goal! I believe there's still enough time to rally and hit a stretch goal, there's nothing I want more than to get you guys some free goodies!
Please take a moment to share this campaign with your friends in whatever way you feel comfortable--I'll tell you right now if we can clear $7500, I'll be including an additional free digital comic and a new sticker for all physical backers! This comic means the world to me and I know you guys are going to love it, let's get this thing closed out in a big way!
Add-on Spotlight!
Rather than doing individual tiers and add-ons for signed copies of my books, I load it all into a single add on. If you get 1 book or 17, I'll sign them all! Perfect for collectors and people who want a personalized touch to their rewards!

"Morgana Pendragon is a new comic book series by Madeleine Holly-Rosing, the writer/creator of the popular and long-running steampunk supernatural series Boston Metaphysical Society.
"Having lost her magic when she fled England twenty years ago, Morgana leads a mercenary team wherever the best paycheck is. All that changes when she receives a message to return—her brother, King Arthur, is dying. Now, she must not only face Mordred, the child she left behind, but a new threat which may forever change her and the future of her country."
It might shock no one to learn that I'm an English major and a massive nerd for fantasy and Arthurian legend. So pairing that with the writer behind Boston Metaphysical Society, one of the best established series on Kickstarter, is simply a no-brainer. I want to read it, you should want to read it, what are you waiting for? Check it out here!
"Harrison is a young man fresh out of high school, with his life neatly mapped out in front of him. Lou is a daring young woman recently returned from her first year away at college. And one summer night, they’ll sneak into an empty suburban home that draws them into an unimaginable realm of terror and transformation.
"STASH BOX is a unique love letter to the horror comics of yesteryear. We’ve taken our favorite pieces of Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt and placed them strategically through the pages of this 36-page, oversized one-shot. To complete the presentation, we’re printing the comic on high quality newsprint to give this book the look and feel of something from another time."
If there's one thing I'm drawn to more than fantasy, it's weird, outlandish horror, and Ian Mondrick is basically my permanent supplier. A comic giving serious Vivarium vibes about the horror of suburbia in the style of a golden age newsprint comics is exactly the kind of book I didn't know I wanted, but I'm absolutely stoked for it. Don't walk, run (away in horror) to check out Stash Box here!
We're so close, let's close out this magical campaign with a flash!

Three more pages!

Hello Everyone!
As we cross over the $5000 mark and get within striking distance of our goal, we wanted to share some more pages with you guys. We've been working on the comic throughout the campaign and we're hoping to be finished and ready to deliver in just a few weeks! Pages 1-5 are on the campaign page itself, check out pages 6-8 here:
No one said it was easy to perform magic. How does Alice cope with this much exertion? How will she react when she realizes she still has a full day ahead of her? Let's hit our goal and find out!
Share the campaign with your friends, post the link on social media, and check out the add-ons, let's get this thing made! Speaking of:
Add-On Spotlight!

"MARU KIRU DESTROY THE MOON is a bombastic, revenge fueled thrill ride through a brutal and mysterious fantasy world over the shoulder of the most badass heroine in comics, MARU KIRU!
"TULTH is a world under the thumb of the sinister CULT OF THE MOON, the church that serves GOLUSSAR, the God-Who-Sits-Astride-The-Moon. The cult controls the flow of all magic on Tulth, and has created a world in which the powerful Wizard-Priests lord over the masses, and keep the people living in squalor and near starvation, always dangling the promise of great strength to those that please Golussar.
"Maru Kiru has had enough. Driven by the events of her own shrouded past, she single mindedly pursues one goal:
"Kill Manotautus, steal his skyship and rise to the heavens, and DESTROY THE MOON ITSELF!"
We really don't get enough bombastic weird stuff in comics, do we? The Maru Kiru series is such a stylistic, weird, over the top fantasy series that's impossible to look away from. They've hit so many stretch goals already so you're getting a lot of bang for your buck! This comic 100% embodies the kind of weird, unique beauty in creativity that Kickstarter comics should be about! Check it out here!
"Made in Delco is a 60 page comic anthology of 10 stories I've [Jimmy Gaspero] written, spanning multiple genres and featuring stories that have been published in incredible anthologies like Bi Visibility and From the Static, as well as stories that have yet to see print. Although these stories have wildly different settings, I think they embody the spirit and attitude of Delco. I was tired of waiting for the right anthology to come along to submit these comics to, so I thought I'd put together my own."
Full disclosure, I did provide crowdfunding consultation on this project and Jimmy is a friend and colleague from Comic Book Yeti. That said, Made in Delco is a really cool anthology that I would be gassing up regardless! Featuring art from some really incredible artists like Heather Vaughan and Rachel Allen Everett, Jimmy is a really talented storyteller with a long track list of short stories featured in fantastic anthologies (including Bi Visibility and From the Static, which I am also featured in). Check it out here, you won't be disappointed!
I'm going to Kalamazoo over the weekend for a comic con, so let's see if we can bring in some Michiganders!
