Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are enjoying the pilot issue of By Appointment Only, it's been so gratifying to get everything made and released! I want to take a moment to let you in on my plans for the series, where we are now, and where we're going, as well as once again express my gratitude for supporting us so far.

First, a bit of sad news. After discussing it for a long time, Maru has decided to step down as the artist on this series--this was her decision following a really unexpected and difficult period in her life that happened to coincide with drawing this book. I really want to stress that there aren't any hard feelings and that we're both in agreement that this is what's best for the project and more importantly for her well being moving forward. This isn't the result of creative or personal disagreements, just unfortunate timing and it wasn't an easy decision to come to--we have nothing but respect and love for Maru and her decisions in this regard.

After vetting a few candidates, I'm excited to announce that Natalie Nardozza will be taking over as the series line artist with the colorist to be announced at a later date! If you're unfamiliar with her work, Natalie is a killer comic artist with credits at Archie, DC, Mad Cave, and several other big publishers!

Given both the change in creative line up and Natalie's schedule, we've decided to forego making issues 2-4 as single issues and instead focus on getting the entire mini series ready as a completed trade. Natalie will be working on the line art throughout the year and I'll be keeping you all updated on how the book is shaping up. Either toward the end of this year or beginning of 2027, we'll be launching a Kickstarter campaign for the complete comic and releasing the finished book shortly after!

Books are in the Mail!

Hello Everyone!

I'm happy to report that all of the books are either in the mail right now or will be dropped off at the post office on Monday! When you get them, please let me know right away if anything is missing or damaged so I can help to fix it, if possible.

I'll be in touch soon with news about the future of the book and how we move forward from here, but for now, I sincerely hope you enjoy issue #1 of By Appointment Only! Feel free to let me know what you think and have a wonderful Holiday season however you choose to celebrate!

Excited to share that we picked up the books from the dock today and they look great! We're going to be starting the shipping process right away--that may take several days or even a week, but we'll be doing everything we can to get the books out the door and in the mail before Christmas!

Printing Update!

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving with family or friends, or if not, went to go see a good movie!

We had a few hiccups with the proofs from the printer over the course of the week and, with the holiday it unfortunately slowed things down a bit, but we've approved the proofs now and the books are being printed as we speak! We're expecting them to arrive around Mid December and will be making this project our top shipping priority, so, if you're in the states, you should have By Appointment Only in your hands in time for Christmas!

I'll let you know if any part of that changes, but until then, I hope your leftovers are delicious!

Digital Fulfilment is Here!

Hello Everyone!

Check your emails, By Appointment Only #1 is now available digitally to all eligable backers!

We'll be sending out the digital deluxe soon along with an update detailing when the comic will get to the printer and when we expect to have it in hand.

We've already sent out much of our digital distribution through Kickstarter direct messages, so if you're missing anything, check there first and let us know if you still can't find it! There's also a small amount of you that haven't filled out your survey, so check to see if that's done on BackerKit as well if you aren't finding anything.

I sincerely hope you enjoy the first chapter of this story, we'll have details about how we progress coming once we've sent out physical copies.
